How the cleaning time calculator works

Each room gets a typical time for one cleaner doing a standard clean: about 20 minutes a bedroom, 35 a full bathroom, 15 a half bath, 45 a kitchen and 20 for other rooms.

Cleaning hours are the total for everyone. Hours on site divide that by your crew.

Homes per crew day assumes about 7 cleaning hours per cleaner in a day.

The formula: Hours = (bedrooms × 20 + full baths × 35 + half baths × 15 + kitchens × 45 + other rooms × 20) ÷ 60.

Tips from the trade

  • Pets, clutter and heavy buildup can add 10% to 60%. The full Quote Calculator adjusts for all three.
  • Regular weekly homes take less time than the same home cleaned monthly.
  • Time your own cleans and use your numbers. These are averages, not rules.
